Nursing: The spectrum of differences

Croatian Nurses Association (CNA) is proud to announce 4th CNA Nursing Congress with International Participation – „Nursing: The spectrum of differences“ which is going to take place in Zagreb, Croatia, from 15th to 18th of May, 2010, as a part of traditional health days „Medicine and techniques“, held every year on Zagreb fair.

Congress will include wide spectrum of currently actual topics from the filed of nursing in Croatia and the world such as: nursing as a key profession in all society segments, nursing in the process of Croatian accession to European Union, safe environment, nursing migration, patient safety, nursing ethics, leadership and management in nursing, providing care for disabled, older people and children, nursing research, mental health, nursing education and continuous professional development and many others. Besides plenary sessions and lectures, Congress will include variety of workshops – on emergency care, nutrition, nursing communications etc. Regional conferences on the topics of the role of national nursing associations as a main actors in promoting and strengthening nursing profession will also be organized, where nurses from regional and EU countries will have an opportunity to share experience and knowledge on global NNAs development, nursing education and challenges NNAs face in upcoming years.

Today, nursing in Croatia seeks profesionalization and this Congress will contribute to that aim. 4th CNA Nursing Congress with International Participation – „Nursing: The spectrum of differences“ will also be an opportunity to celebrate The International Year of the Nurse–2010 (the centennial of Nightingale's death).

4th CNA Nursing Congress with International Participation – „Nursing: The spectrum of differences“ will gather nurses from all over the Croatia and regional countries while many quests speakers and participants will be nursing experts form European Union and United States of America. The Congress will present an opportunity to discuss and share experience and also enable cross-cultural discussions about the nursing and stress out the importance of change in order to modernize and spread an active role of the nurse in modern society.
